FAQs
What is the Project Safe Neighborhoods Training and Technical Assistance (PSN TTA) program?
TTA assists PSN task forces, local and state law enforcement, criminal justice agencies, and communities with planning, implementing, and assessing their violence reduction strategies. PSN TTA leverages resources from leading national organizations— the CNA Institute for Public Research (CNA), Michigan State University (MSU), and the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC).
Is my community eligible to receive PSN training and technical assistance?
- The PSN program is coordinated by the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices in the 94 federal judicial districts throughout the 50 states and U.S. territories.
- If you are from a U.S. Attorney’s office, you are eligible to request PSN TTA support on behalf of your local partners.
- If you are not from a U.S. Attorney’s Office, please contact your United States Attorney to determine if your district falls within their PSN focus area or submit a Request TTA form and someone from our team will assist you with that process.
How can I request training or technical assistance (TTA)?
You can submit a request via the “Request TTA” button on this webpage.
How long will it take for me to receive my requested training and technical assistance?
- Our team will reach out to you within three business days of receiving your request made via the Request TTA form.
- The length of time it will take from receipt of request to delivery of TTA will depend on several factors that the PSN TTA team will discuss with you during the initial planning conversations.
