TRAINING on Social Network Analysis (SNA)

The PSN TTA team recently worked with a local police department and its Crime Gun Intelligence Center to provide an advanced SNA training for analysts. Dr. Lauren Magee from Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis, and a former crime analyst in the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, conducted the training. The police department analysts have been conducting SNA for several years to support their PSN initiative and have continually been refining the SNA model. This training focused on how to integrate multiple sources of data, including National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) data, to support more robust crime analysis intelligence products. The training was conducted successfully in a virtual online format.
