Homicide review commissions are multi-agency efforts that aim to reduce homicides and non-fatal shootings. Law enforcement, community service providers, and criminal justice professionals meet on a regular basis to share information about homicides and violent crimes and to identify strategies to reduce gun-involved crimes. These review commissions improve the investigation and prosecution of gun-involved crimes including homicides and non-fatal shootings.
